Technical Team

Gloria Fernández Calmuntia

Gloria is the vice President of the Palma Aquarium Foundation and Director of Education at Palma Aquarium.

She has a degree in Biology from the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1979 and Master in Education and Environmental Management in 1995 and 1998.

Gloria has more than 30 years of experience in conservation programs and in the recovery of sea turtles and cetaceans. Gloria is responsible for the Palma Aquarium Marine Fauna Rescue Centre.

She is also a biology teacher, and has taught in secondary school for the last 40 years.

Debora Morrison

Palma Aquarium FoundationMember and manager of Palma Aquariums Education and Conservation Department.

Debora is a Curator with more than 25 years of experience in the management and care of marine animals and in the conservation of the marine environment.

She works actively in Palma Aquariums Marine Fauna Rescue Centre

Xisca Pujol

Biologist– Technician

Degree in Biology by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in 2010.

Technical Veterinary Assistant for the European Institute of Business Studies (INESEM) in 2014.

University Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Professional Training and Language Teaching at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) in 2017.

Volunteers Team

Volunteers are the heart and soul of a non-profit organisation. They are a perfectly coordinated team and without them the organisation would not be able to work.

Recovery Center

Palma Aquarium has signed a collaboration agreement with the prestigious Anicura Aragó Veterinary Hospital in Palma.
